Home - Welcome at the website of the European Asbestos Removal Association (EARA)

"Asbestos remains the primary carcinogenic toxin affecting European Workers. Outside the workplace, it is second only to tobacco as an environmental source of cancer. European labour groups, medical associations and international agencies have issued calls to make (...) 2006 the Year of Action on Asbestos." (European Parliament, 22-9-2005)

On Wednesday 28 April 2010 EARA will meet in Utrecht, Netherlands. All Members and other interested parties are invited to discuss future policies by EARA and the special project: market-opportunities of shipbreaking or pre-cleaning of end-of-life ships within EU.

Venue is sponsored by TNO, research institute.
